Garland Ray Hickman, Sr., 88, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Garland Hickman, Jr. and Angelena of DeRidder, LA; daughter-in-law, Karin Hickman of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Harvey Hickman and Johnny of DeRidder, LA, James Hickman and Joan of Hornbeck, LA; sisters, Virginia Seal and Bryant of MD, Opal Scott of Welsh, LA, Patty Gonter and Tom of Tomball, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Hickman, Jeremy Hickman, Cody Hickman, Jason Hickman, Shelley Mitchell; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Hickman; son, Larry Hickman; parents, Garvis and Claire Hickman; brothers, Webster Hickman, Prentice Hickman, George Hickman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Gibson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hickman, Cody Hickman, Jeremy Hickman, Brad Keel, Donnie Hickman and Jeremy Mitchell. Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
