Deborah Kay Griffin passed away on July 3, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. She was born on November 26, 1956, in Houston, Texas to Andrew Pete Longoria & Elois Marie (Laywell) Longoria. She moved as a baby to Merryville, LA and was raised by her paternal grandparents Alred & Earline Longoria.
Deborah a woman of steadfast faith was passionate about sharing her love of Jesus Christ. She was active in her local church and attended church every opportunity she could.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Collen Honea of Sulphur, LA. Six grandchildren. Jordan Owens (Kayla) of DeQuincy, LA, Brandon Aiden Belshe of Sulphur, LA, Gage (Jaylin) Honea of DeQuincy, LA, Kaden and Bentley Honea of DeQuincy, LA and Jaelyn Leleux of Leesville, LA. Four great grandchildren. Three sisters Carolyn Snyder of Giddings, TX, Betty Burgess (Larry) of Spring, TX and Melody Davis & family of Texas. One brother Russell Longoria of Merryville, LA. A beloved Aunt Margie Longoria McDonald and family of Pickens, LA as well as other extended family, friends and loved ones.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, beloved son Christopher Honea, two sisters Rose & Pam Mollenhauer and one brother Tony Longoria.
A celebration of life for Deborah Griffin is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th at 11:00 AM at Church International in Rose Pine, LA. Her ashes will be spread by family members on a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
Rest in peace sweet Debbie – you will be missed more than words could ever express.
