Jeremy Lee Hickman

Jeremy Lee Hickman, 45 years old, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 11, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. He was born on April 15, 1980, to Garland and Angelena Leach Hickman. Jeremy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many around him. 

Jeremy lived life to the fullest never missing a chance to drop a line in a creek and spend time with his loved ones. He truly was one of a kind facing all of life’s challenges with strength and courage. From a young age Jeremy’s battle began with unbeatable odds and he came out swinging every time. Jeremy was a fighter at heart and faced it all with a smile and unwavering faith.

He is survived by his devoted mother and father, Garland and Angelena Hickman, his brothers, Brandon and wife Jessica Hickman of DeRidder, LA., and Cody and wife Codie Hickman of DeRidder, LA, six nephews, two nieces, along with numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 11:00am until the start of the service at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Jeremy will be laid to rest at Cypress Cemetery, located at 453 Cypress Cemetery Rd, Deridder, LA., following the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Brandon Hickman, Cody Hickman, Dustin James, Levi James, Blake James, and Chuck Waddle.

 In this time of grief, let us remember Jeremy as a man who found joy in every moment, whether fishing or simply sharing stories with loved ones. He will be deeply missed yet forever cherished in our hearts.
