Douglas Coffin, Jr.

Douglas Emery Coffin, Jr., 64, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, June 1, 2024.


Doug loved hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.


Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Terri Bartlett Coffin of DeRidder, LA; daughters, April Lynn Coffin of DeRidder, LA, Sara Elizabeth Coffin Thibodeaux and Brayden of DeQuincy, LA; mother, Betty Rose Dykes of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Parker Lee Coffin, Lukas Cade Johnson; uncle, Don Simmons of DeRidder, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Coffin, Sr.; stepfather, William Dykes; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. JW Simmons; aunts and uncles, Lenore May, Reid Simmons and Roberta “Bobbie” Simmons, Bobby Ray Simmons and Margaret Simmons, Marie Price.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Singer Pentecostal Church in Singer, LA. Brother Donnis Ashworth and Brother Tony Warren will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Busby, Mike Josey, Tarry Hagglund, Swade Deon, Pat Dillon, Richard Fee, Chris Johnson, Dwight Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Caberon, Dennis Tate, George Williams.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
