Emily Ann Keel, (Ms. Emily) 65, of Rosepine, LA, died on April 27, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Emily was born in Tyler, Texas on October 12, 1947 to the late Urban & Ina Hill.

Ms. Emily worked at Rosepine High School Cafeteria for years. Her love for cooking inspired her to start a business in 1996. “Mrs. Emily’s” in Rosepine, LA has been a thriving success for over 16 years. Her legacy will continue on with her daughter, Tiffany and longtime employee Leann Smith. Her proudest achievements as a business owner were being featured twice in the Lake Charles American Press, and winning small business of the year as a member of the Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce. Of course, her customers and the community will remember her smile, her outstanding customer appreciation, and her generosity. Her heart was always with those in need of comfort.
