Earl Wallace, Jr.

Earl Wallace, Jr. was born May 16, 1975 to Erma Wallace and the late Earl Wallace, Sr. of DeRidder, Louisiana.


Earl Wallace, Jr. graduated from DeRidder High School.  He attended Culinary School in Lake Charles, LA and Truck Driving School. He was an employee of Beauregard Memorial Hospital and Wal-Mart of DeRidder.  He moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he worked at Wal-Mart, during which time he had a tragic accident.  Earl, Jr. moved back to DeRidder in 2015 and resided at the DeRidder Retirement Home.  He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church of DeRidder, Louisiana.


He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Erma Wallace of DeRidder, LA; two sons, Nigel Freeman and Demark Watts; four sisters, Helen Feldner of Seattle, Washington, Lessie Ruth Robinson of Leesville, LA, Kerry Baker of DeRidder, LA and Katrina Chaisson of DeRidder, LA; two brothers, Dave Earl Wallace of Seattle, Washington and Kelvin Johnson of Ft. Worth, Texas. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Cleo St. Romain, god sister, Charlotte Satcher & Tyronda St. Romain

Preceding him in death are: his father, Earl Wallace, Sr.; Robert Earl Wallace; Glen Earl Wallace; Clarence Wallace; Cecille Gibbs and Marilyn Allen.


Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 9:00am – 11:00am at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, immediately following visitation at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church at 11:00am.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.  The Reverend Louis Guy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bryan Williams, Jonathan Williams, Woodrow Johnson, Jackie Miller, Fred Satcher and Warrick Walters.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Kelvin Johnson, Dave Earl Wallace, Glenn Wallace Jr. and Scottie Chaisson. Repast will be held at Pastor James Newton Fellowship Hall following interment. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to: New Light Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 731, DeRidder, Louisiana 70634.
