Angela Simmons Benton, 64, of DeRidder, LA passed on from this life on September 29, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years: Robert L. “Bobby” Benton who was her best friend; loving grandparents who raised her: Emmet “Fitz” Simmons and Irma Dickens Simmons; mother: Glenda Faye Bailey.

She is survived by her son: Casey Robert Benton and his wife, Jamie Freer Benton; daughter: Chea Wilson and her husband, Cody Wilson; her Pride and Joy, grandsons: Dalton C. Benton, Christopher R. Wilson, Cannon W. Wilson, Case C. Wilson; Brother: Tracy James Simmons; Sister: Melissa Sue Cryar; Nieces and Nephews (who she loved dearly): Cory J. Simmons, Breanna D. Smith, Joseph “JoJo” Cryar, J. Niece Longsworth, Mitch J. Simmons; great nieces and nephews (too many to name); friends who were like family and were always there for her; My Nona who always listened and was her lighthouse through the storms.

Angela was a beacon of light. Her positive attitude and Faith in Christ remained steadfast through her journey. Her only concern was for the people she loved. She showed love, compassion and kindness to all who entered her life. Angela always said to be kind and that she was blessed in this life.
