Paula Vanessa Haynes Williams

Oct 5, 1960 — Sep 29, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Paula Vanessa Haynes Williams, who left us on September 29, 2026, just shy of her 66th birthday. Born on October 5, 1960, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Paula lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to her community.

For over 15 years, Paula dedicated herself as a nursery attendant at First United Pentecostal Church, where she touched the lives of so many children and families. Known for her vibrant personality, she was a true chatterbox, always ready to share a good story or laugh. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandsons and her beloved grandpup. Her relationship with her grandsons was especially special; she was more than just a grandmother to them-she was a role model and a friend.

Paula will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Ishka Arogundade and Abimbola Arogundade of Farmers Branch, TX and Ayana Coleman and Stanley Coleman, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Dale "Speedy" Haynes of CA; sister, Marion Galbreath of Fort Polk, LA; grandchildren, Omar Lynch, Jr., Ethan Lynch, Zj'Kai Lynch; grandpup, D'Jango Coleman and the countless others who knew her as "Aunt Paula." She embraced anyone who crossed her path with open arms and an open heart. A cherished member of the Thompson Temple COGIC family, she enjoyed her time with her church family, further enriching her life and the lives of those around her.

Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Williams; parents, Joseph Haynes, Annie Haynes

A memorial service in her honor will be held at First United Pentecostal Church of DeRidder on her birthday, Monday, October 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Everyone who knew and loved Paula is invited to join us in celebrating her life and the joy she brought into our world. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home.

Paula may have left this world, but her spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Rest in peace, Paula. You will be deeply missed.
