Alywin Kim Stokes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alywin Kim Stokes, age 70, who departed this life on September 25, 2026, in Deridder, Louisiana. Born on November 21, 1955, in Many, Louisiana, to Benny and Floy Jones Stokes. Kim was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose zest for life and love for the outdoors deeply enriched the lives of those who knew him.

Kim embraced every moment with an adventurous spirit, finding joy in his passions, including hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He cherished the beauty of nature, often sharing these experiences with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured.

 He is survived by his beloved wife, Patty Cupit, and his cherished children, Kaleb Stokes and wife Anna, and Willy Cupit. Also left to mourn his loss are his brothers, Philip Stokes and wife Dale, and Dyrell Stokes and wife Rhonda. Kim was a proud grandfather to Luke Woodard and Elizabeth Woodard, who were the light of his life. 

Kim is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his children, Kable Stokes and Charley Cupit. While he has left this world, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he leaves behind. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Johnson Bailey Cemetery. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
