Kenneth (Mickey) Earl Cole  1927-2022

Mickey Cole, 95, of Ragley, LA, passed from this life Friday, May 20, 2022, in his home surrounded by family and friends.

Mickey was an active member in the community, always available to lend a helping hand.  Ever reliable, Mickey was the type of person to drop everything if anyone needed anything.  He and his wife, Blanche, enjoyed being outside, especially spending time in their garden.  While, at times, he was a man of few words, Mickey always enjoyed laughing at a good joke, with his company on the back porch.  He will be incredibly missed by his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him Pookie.

Mickey was a lifelong member of Magnolia Baptist Church and a member of the Magnolia Masonic Lodge #238.  He retired from Trunkline Gas Company in 1982.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Kenny Cole of Houston, Terry and Susan Cole of Ragley and Jeff Cole of Ocean Springs, MS.  Grandchildren, Brooklyn and Greg Cole, Marina Cole, Michael Hicks and John Hicks.  Great Grandchildren, Jarith Hicks, Liam Cole and May Cole and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Blanche Cole, his parents, Lonnie and Montella Cole, his brothers, Frank, Jewel and LC, and his sister, Mattie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley La.  Reverend Tony Anthony and Reverend Carlie Jackson will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La
