Ben L. Salter, 85, departed this life on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Rosepine, LA. Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana and will continue on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Survivors include: Son: Mike Salter; Sister: Peggy Green; Nieces: Kathy Anderson; Carol Moore; Debbie Pate; Terry Jopling; Farrah Reyna; Tori Hernandez; Nephews: Bobby Salter; Roger Salter;  Randall Green; Tim Hughes; Josh Moore and Jesse Moore. 1 Grandchild and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Mr. Salter was preceded in death by his Parents: Lela and Thomas “Boug” Salter; Spouse: Genny Salter; 2 infant daughters and 1 infant son.
