Rudolph I. McClenton, 68 of DeRidder, Louisiana departed this life on Friday, July 25, 2008 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

VISITATION: 6-9 pm, Friday August 1, 2008 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder;

SERVICE:  11:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of DeRidder; 

MINISTER: Rev. George B. Harris; 

CEMETERY:  Beauregard Cemetery – DeRidder, Louisiana


He was loved and respected by all.  He did well in school and graduated from Vasshon High School in 1956 at the age of 17 and joined the army to serve his country.  He retired from the military as a staff sergeant.


Survivors include: Wife:  Tannie McClenton of DeRidder; Son:  Raymond McClenton of Santa Monica, California and Step-Son: Russell Rhodes of DeRidder, LA.; Daughter:  Maria Gordon of Georgia; Step Daughters:  Linda Rhodes of DeRidder and Joyce Steele of DeRidder, LA.; Brothers:  Robert McClenton of St. Louis, MO; Charles McClenton of  St. Louis, MO;Sherman McClenton of St. Louis, MO; Sisters:  Darlene Sargent of St. Louis, MO; Lee Doris Bolen of Cleveland, Ohio; 7 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.
