Winne Rae Foshee Eaves

February 27, 1925 - October 30, 2014

Winnie Rae Foshee Eaves, 89, of DeRidder, LA, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, October 30, 2014.  Mrs. Eaves was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a homemaker, Sunday School Teacher, and nursery worker.  She was a member of Cooper Baptist Church in Pickering for over 30 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 69 years, Teddy A. Eaves; daughters, Sherry Fontenot and husband George of DeRidder, LA, Brenda Joy of DeRidder, LA, and Tedine Soule and husband Sam of Mansfield, LA; son, Paul Eaves and wife Martha of Pickering, LA; sisters, Faye Cockrell, Doris Hickman, and Jo Lynn Lucas; brother, Keith Foshee; 8 grandchildren;  10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Josie Foshee; sisters, Bennie Zimmerman, Helen Fontenot, and June Hill; brothers, Kenneth, Norman, Durwood, and Owen Foshee.

The family would like to thank caregivers, Evelyn Dowden and Amber La Saicherre.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.  Rev. E.J. Bradshaw and Rev. Edgar Evans will officiate.
