William Howard Fowler, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in Deridder, Louisiana, at the age of 69. Born on January 21, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, to Elisha and Charlsie Fowler. Bill brought joy and laughter to everyone around him, leaving a lasting impression on all he met. Bill had a special talent for making people smile, often brightening a room with his infectious laughter and kind demeanor. His passions included playing Bingo and bowling, activities that provided him happiness and a sense of community among friends. He also cherished his time with his beloved dog, Sweetheart, whose companionship brought him immeasurable joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Fowler, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Bill is also survived by his children, Billy Wayne Hester and Mixie Franklin and husband Darryl, as well as his cherished siblings: Lucy Johnson, Margaret Phillips and her husband Jack, Irene Ratcliff and her husband Jimmy, Deborah Garza, David Fowler, and brother-in-law, Louis Bebee, and wife Eva, Five Grandchildren, and Six Great- Grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Freddy Fowler, Jewel Phillips, and Terry Fowler, and his grandson, Edward Goodeaux.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, in the Chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Pastor Eddie Tilley will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
In this difficult time, we remember a man who embodied kindness and compassion, whose laughter reverberated through the hearts of those privileged to know him. William Howard Fowler will forever be cherished, missed, and celebrated in the memories of his family and friends.
