Willa Ann Herford

We are heartbroken to announce that Willa Ann Robinson Herford, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on July 18, 1953, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Ann spent her life creating a warm home filled with love and laughter.

As a devoted homemaker, she was known for her incredible cooking skills and her fondness for visiting flea markets, where she found joy in discovering unique treasures. Ann was deeply involved in her community, always willing to lend a helping hand or lend a listening ear. She had a love for helping others especially when it came to the elderly. She started what was called the "Penny Store", where residents were able to select different supplies/clothes.

Ann is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Gene Herford of DeRidder, LA; son, Mark Herford and Melissa of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Melissa Herford of DeRidder, LA; brother, Tommy Robinson; grandchildren, Abbi Coker, Tori Coker, Reagan Herford, Jackson Herford, along with an extended family of friends and loved ones who will deeply miss her compassionate spirit.

Willa was preceded in death her parents, Jack and Willa Dean Robinson.

Join us in celebrating Ann's life. A public viewing will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Sunday. Allowing friends and family to come together to remember her. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Lewis New Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.

In this time of loss, we remember Ann's laughter, her kindness, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that we all strive to emulate.
