Verby Dewayne Hicks, 84, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-five years, Nancy Brannon Hicks of DeRidder, LA; son, Daniel Wayne Hicks of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Johanna Lynn Harper and O’Neal of DeRidder, LA, Lisa Lea Blaisdell and Phil of Anchorage, AK; brothers, Jimmy Hicks of DeRidder, LA, Randy Hicks and Gayle of Lumberton, TX; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Martha Ann Hicks and an infant daughter; parents, Verby and Ruby Hicks.

Graveside funeral service and burial will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Son-in-law, O’Neal Harper will speak at the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
