Verble Buxton Smith, 88, of Singer, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny Smith and Debbie of Singer, LA; daughter, Jan Franklin and Billy of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Johnny Franklin of Oretta, LA, Billy Franklin and Christy of DeRidder, LA, and Dustin Smith of Lafayette, LA; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Skyler, Alexis, Kylee, and Brionna; great-great grandchildren, Billy M., Kaleb D., Selena, Daniel, Adeline, and Ryker; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray Smith; granddaughters, Jenny Franklin and Susan Jeanette Franklin; parents, Clemon and Annie Buxton, and sister, Verna Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 4:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. LA.   Brother Johnny Johnson and Brother Clyde Snider will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Smith, Dustin Smith, Kaleb Franklin, Skyler Franklin and Terrel Smith.  Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
