Velma Gail Hennington Kite, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Timothy Kite and Carla of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Cynthia Hall and David, Pamela Penton, all of DeRidder, LA; sister, Dorothy Mulig of Bossier City, LA; sister-in-law, Cathy Hennington of Pachuta, MS; grandchildren, Nathan Moses, Telia Francis, Cody Penton, Tyler Penton, Thera O’ Bryant; great grandchildren, Tailey, J.J., Tristan, Tanner, Trace, Trent, Trinity, Amaya, Gabriel, Gavin, Natalya, Damion, Vladimir, Bell; great-great granddaughter, Evelyn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Kite; parents, James and Nancy Hennington; brother, James Hennington.

Graveside Funeral service will be at 9:00 AM, Monday, July 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Dr. Thomas Dobbins will officiate the service.
