Vashti Constance Nichols Hudson

Vashti Constance “Connie” Nichols Hudson, 88, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Paul Hudson and Jackie of DeRidder, LA, Brent Hudson and Alice of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Karen Rankin and Billy of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Steve Wedgeworth and Anna of DeRidder, LA, Brandy Murray and Michael of Bridge City, TX, Crystal Hudson of Ragley, LA, Kathy Mitchell, Katie Mitchell; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hudson; parents, Thurman and Mable Nichols; sister, Pauline Hebert.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Victor Warrick will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Murray, Bill Murray, Brandon Fletcher, Tod Stark, Darren Kelly and Trey Wedgewood. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s, Wounded Warriors or the local Humane Society.
