Timmy Lynn Bowman

Timmy “Ted” Lynn Bowman, passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 58. He was the loving son of Olen Edmund Bowman and Jonell Walker Bowman. A beloved father, brother, and friend, Timmy lived his life in Merryville, Louisiana, where he created joyful memories with those he loved.

Ted was an ardent lover of life, who found joy in the simplest pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, woodworking, and motorcycle riding, activities that reflected his adventurous spirit and creativity. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors and craftsmanship inspired those around him, leaving a legacy of love and laughter.

He is survived by his dedicated sons, Chad Johnson and wife Carly, and Trevor Bowman; his cherished granddaughter, Finley Johnson; and his loving brothers: Claytis Bowman, Rayborn Bowman, RB Bowman, Johnny Coaston, Kenneth Paul, and Thomas James. Timmy also leaves behind his caring sisters, Inez Case, Ellette Bowman, BJ Bowman Fincher, and Deborah Ramarez, along with two nephews, Blake and Quenton Fincher, and a host of nieces and nephews who will lovingly remember his warmth and kindness.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Olen Edmund Bowman and Jonell Walker Bowman and several brothers—Reedus Bowman, Martin David Bowman, Dennis Bowman, Joe Bowman, and Jimmie Olen Bowman—as well as sisters Edna Wilson, Annie Bowman, and Jeanette Bowman. Their memories will be cherished alongside his.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00pm. Reverend Dawson Walley will be officiating the service. Burial will take place at Cooper Cemetery following the service. A Public Visitation will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday September 20, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
