Stephan Gerard Hitchens

Funeral services for Stephan Gerard Hitchens, 48, of DeRidder, will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 3, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Blankenship Drive in DeRidder. Visitation will beFriday, April 2, 2010 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Hwy 190 West, with a rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Stephan died from complications of lung cancer, at 1:47 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2010 at the home of a family member.

Stephan leaves to cherish his memories his loving parents Lenora & Charley L. Hitchens, Jr. of DeRidder, LA, one daughter: Melissa Hitchens of Cleveland, TX., three brothers: Charley L. Hitchens, III of DeRidder; Michael A. Hitchens, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ; Sheldon R. Hitchens of DeRidder; two sisters: Carolyn L. Staten of Fort Worth, TX., Marvis Y. Collor of DeRidder, two grand children:  Ahdonaijah  & Dorian, appointed sister Mary Miller and brother Vonie Miller of DeRidder, LA, 3 nieces:  Rita of Clinton MD; Amy of Ft Worth, TX and Shameika of DeRidder; 4 nephews Michael Jr. and Marvin of Indianapolis, IN, Charley IV of Houston, TX and Ryan of DeRidder, LA.  And a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, step-children, step-grand children, step-nieces and nephews and countless friends.
