Roy Palmer

Roy Darrell Palmer, 58, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Roy was substitute cafeteria worker at Carver and KR Hanchey elementary schools and a C.N.A at Merryville Nursing Home and Rehab. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Christopher Palmer and Catoria of DeRidder, LA, Gerald Palmer and LaTasha of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Shannon Mark of DeRidder, LA; aunts, Sandra Lee of Bon Wier, TX, Rosa Cole and Floyd of DeRidder, LA, Dorothy Cole and Frank of Lake Charles, LA; uncle, Willie Guillory and Paula of DeRidder, LA; special friends, Stacey McClendon of DeRidder, LA, Jimmy Miller of Alexandra, LA, Tamika Litters and Michael of DeRidder, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Landry; father, Roy Lee Palmer; brothers, Charlie Guillory, Michael Bernard, Harold Palmer; nephew, Alvin Jones; grandparents, Andrew and Samantha Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Norris Memorial Church of God in Christ in DeRidder, LA.  Reverend Michael Harris will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Johnson, Micah Wells, Kevin Jones, Adrian Walters, Kenneth Turner, Delmar Lewis, Eric Jones, Christopher Washington, Steven Rougeau, Malcolm Banks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Antonio Palmer, Chris Palmer, Gerald Palmer, LeRoy Phelps. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
