Rodney Dale Reeves, 71, of Dry Creek, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Alexandria, LA.  Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Clare VanZile Reeves of Dry Creek, LA; Sons, Walter Reeves & Wife Theresa of Dry Creek, LA, Dale Reeves & Wife Denise of Dry Creek, LA; Daughter, Frances Bunch & Husband George of Kiln, MS; Sisters, Monica Wilson & Husband Ray of Nederland, TX, LaJuan Gill of Dry Creek, LA, Veronica Whitehorn of Kent, WA; Grandchildren, Brent Martin, Christopher Reeves, Tristian Jones & Husband Brandon, Lyssa Reeves. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his Parents, Floyd & Clytie Reeves; Brother, Donald Ray Reeves; Sister, Mona O’Dell Reeves; Great Grandson, Brandon Gabriel Jones.

Mr. Reeves was a retired Marine Corps Staff Sergeant. He was also a retired MS. DOT Law Enforcement Officer & MS. Agricultural & Livestock Farmer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 PM and again on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of service at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29 2014 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.  Bro. Jerry Day will officiate.
