Ricky Lee Jefferson

Ricky Lee Jefferson, 66 years old, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in DeRidder, LA. Born on January 8, 1960, in Deridder, Louisiana, to Lawrence and Mary Jefferson. Ricky was a devoted husband, father, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him.

 Ricky was known for his incredible ability to fix and work on anything, always approaching every task with a dedication and passion that inspired those around him. His heart of gold shone brightly through the love and care he provided to his family and friends. He cherished the moments spent with loved ones, and his laughter and warmth will be profoundly missed. Ricky is survived by his beloved spouse; Carolyn Gill, his son; Justin Williams, sisters; Rose Shelby, and Faye Gordon, brother; Danny Groves, special cousin; Eugene Jefferson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. Together, they will carry his spirit in their hearts, honoring the love and memories they built together.

Ricky was preceded in death by: his parents, sister; Barbara Groves, Brother; Lawrence Jefferson Jr. Brother-in-law; John Gordon, and Nephew; Jayden Shelby.

A public viewing will be held at Sweet Home Baptist Church on February 7, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 AM. We invite all who knew Ricky to join us in celebrating his life and legacy, sharing stories and the joy he brought into our lives.
