Raymond “Mark” Leidig, age 68, passed away on April 24, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. Born in Houma, LA on April 1, 1957. Mark was the son of Raymond H. Leidig Jr. and Joan Usie Hauser. A devoted husband, and friend, Mark was known for his passion for music, particularly playing the drums, as well as his unwavering support for LSU sports and his love of the great outdoors. He was a graduate of DeRidder High School in 1975. He was a dedicated boat captain for 40 years who embraced the beauty of life in his own adventurous way.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Charlotte Wyatt Leidig, and his father, Raymond H. Leidig Jr., both of DeRidder, LA. He is survived by his son Dylan Leidig and grandson Ayden Leidig of Raleigh, N.C. He is also survived by his siblings, Donna Kay Kelly and David Leidig, both of DeRidder, LA, along with nieces Kelsey Leidig-Hebert of Tampa, FL., Katey Kelly (Charlie Lowell) of Little Rock, Ar. and Mallorie Bass (Kane) of DeRidder, La. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends. Mark was preceded in death by his loving mother, Joan Usie Hauser and brother John J. Leidig.
A private family burial will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
In loving memory, let us celebrate Mark’s spirit and the warmth he shared with all. He will forever remain in our hearts, for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
