Randy Lynn Archer

Randy L. Archer, a beloved father, son, and friend, passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on May 27, 1964, to Jimmie and Nona Faye Archer. Randy was born and raised in DeRidder, La and was known for his strong ties to his community, and the relationships he built over the years. He valued friendship, loyalty, and time spent with those he loved.

Randy loved the sound of music, which led him to use his gift of being able to play any instrument he touched. Music played a huge role in his life, and he was able to share that with all who knew him. Randy is survived by his children, Dana Archer, Michael Archer and wife Jessie, and Kristyn Archer; mother, Nona Faye McFatter; sister, Judy Hulett and husband Sidney; and 5 grandchildren; Cameron, Macklin, Caleb, Raylyn, and Skylyn. Randy's love for his family was immeasurable, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

He is preceded in death by his father Jimmie Archer, Step-Father Bruce McFatter, Sister Connie Archer, and his son Dustyn Archer. Randy’s presence will be remembered by all who knew him, whether through shared work, conversation, or everyday moments that left a lasting impression. During this time, please keep family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. His memory will live on through those who carry forward the stories, lessons, and moments they shared with him.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home, and the family will hold a private service.
