Ralph Wead was born on October 12, 1943. He passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by family, early Sunday morning, June 7, 2026.

As a young boy between the ages of 10 and 12, Ralph learned the value of hard work. During the winter months, he would rise early to build the fire in the house before daylight. He also worked in the family garden and milked the cow each morning before leaving for school. He graduated in 1961 from Evans High School as part of a small graduating class of approximately 13 students. Ralph was baptized in Pearl Creek at Burr Ferry, Louisiana, during the last week of February 1960. On June 6, 1961, he received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968. At the age of 22, Ralph answered the call to ministry and began preaching the Gospel. On November 19, 1966, Ralph married Pat Pierce. They shared 43½ wonderful years of marriage until her passing on April 24, 2010. During his years of ministry, Ralph preached across Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Wisconsin, touching countless lives with his dedication to the Gospel. After the passing of his first wife, Ralph remained single for two years. On April 21, 2012, he married Connie Knepp. Together they shared many happy years serving the Lord and their church families, both in Baytown, TX at Peace Tabernacle and Dripping Springs, TX at Harvest Hills.
