Phyllis Maxine Stevens

Phyllis Maxine Stevens passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, in Orange, Texas. Born on August 3, 1962, in New Roads, Louisiana, to Maxie and Corrie Whiddon. Phyllis dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her genuine kindness and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Her nurturing spirit and ability to bring joy and laughter into every room will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Known for her selflessness, Phyllis always showed a preference for others' happiness, encouraging everyone to leave with a smile.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, George Stevens, her children Jamie Whiddon Justin Young, and Kayla Butler; grandchildren, Shelby Whiddon, James Whiddon, Justin Whiddon, Jonathan Whiddon, Aaron Young, Alyssa Young, Gracelyn Butler, Chance Butler JR, and Kacelyn Butler; Great grandchildren, Naomi, Paytience, Karson, Ella, Hayes, Tatum, and Oakleigh; Siblings; Susan Blocker.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents. Maxi Lee Whiddon, Corrie Whiddon, Jessie Whiddon.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana, Tony Kittrell will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Following the services, she will be laid to rest in Foshee Cemetery, where her spirit will forever remain close to her loved ones.
