Peggy Laverne McCarter Kite, 89, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jeff Kite and Barbara of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Heath Kite, Konner Kite, Ali Kite; great grandchildren, Kael Kite, Alana Kite, Alilah Kite and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Kite; her parents and her brothers.

Graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 3, 2024, at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.  Jerry Day will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
