Patricia Gail “Tot” Frankum Cummings passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by the people she loved most, just as she would have wanted. Born December 22, 1954, in Wharton, Texas, to W.R. Frankum and Martha Mathis Frankum, Tot lived a life that was anything but ordinary.
Tot was vibrant, funny, and full of personality. She had a sharp wit, a contagious laugh, and a knack for turning everyday moments into stories worth telling. She loved a good gamble whether it was cards, dominoes, or a lucky hand and she played to win, usually with a grin and a little trash talk.
She had a passion for garage sales and antiques, never passing up the chance to hunt for hidden treasures or share the fascinating backstories behind her finds. Tot loved her plants, her travels, and the thrill of going somewhere new, always ready for the next adventure. She didn’t just collect things, she collected memories, friendships, and experiences.
More than anything, Tot loved her family fiercely. She was the heart of gatherings, the storyteller at the table, and the one who brought people together. Her warmth, humor, and unmistakable presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Hennigan; her son, Steven Bruce Cummings (Maggie) of Deridder, LA; her daughter, Stacie LaNae Wallach of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; her stepsons Javis Hennigan (Alicia) of Deridder, LA, and Joel Hennigan (Keisha) of Merryville, LA; her sisters Jeanette Stewart (Billy) of Henderson, TX, Barbara Watson (Chuck) of LaTexo, TX, Debbie Neely (Steve) of Texarkana, TX, and Rhonda Frankum (Shannon) of Texarkana, TX; her brother Danny Ray Frankum (Denise) of Hardin, TX; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Martha Frankum; her brother William Richard Frankum; and her sister Linda Ray Frankum.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana. Chaplain Tim Bergen will officiate.
Tot will be deeply missed, not quietly, but loudly in laughter, stories, shuffled cards, blooming plants, and every place she left her mark. Her spirit lives on in the joy she gave, the risks she took, and the unforgettable life she led.
