Pamela Gale Marze Whatley, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, best friend, aunt, great grandmother and great aunt passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on May 25, 1962, in LA, she spent her life as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. Pam was a resident of Merryville, LA, and was affectionately known as Aunt Pammie to all who knew her.

Pam is survived by her daughter, Ashley D. Hackett and Michael of Slagle, LA; her sisters, Sharon R. Coody and Jewes Cool of Merryville, LA and Mollie L. Arnold and Bill Brittain of Burr Ferry, LA; mother-in-law, Peggy Jeane of Leesville, LA; grandchildren, Makalya Shackelford and Joshua, Imeon Dixon; great grandchild, Remington and one more on the way; bonus niece and nephew, Cassie Jenkins and Michael, Cagney Coody and Melanie; bonus grandchildren, Maylen, Caius, Cohen; bonus brother, Hirl Haynes and a host of nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews, other family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. She was known for her unconditional love, non-judgmental nature, and ability to be a true friend to everyone who crossed her path.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, William Glen and Donnie Sue Marze; son, Brandon Dale Jeane; grandson, Triston Hackett; lifelong best friend, Lisa Bradford; brother, Ronald Glen Marze; sister, Missy Brister.

A faithful prayer warrior with a strong relationship with the Lord, Pam spoke openly about God's work in her life and shared her faith with those around her. She had a knack for finding joy in the little things, from solving her favorite word search puzzles and watching TV to delighting in the beauty of her flower garden. An avid LSU and Dallas Cowboys fan, she cherished weekends spent fishing at Poppie Hirl's camp.

Pam loved nothing more than cooking for her family, all while creating treasured memories together. She enjoyed bird watching and found serenity in the company of butterflies. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, as she often lent a helping hand to others when she could.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a public viewing beginning at 9:00 am. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Canaan Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Brother Darrell Hieronymus will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Bill Brittain, James Allen Brister, Hunter Brister, Jacob Scott, John Taylor and Michael Brister. Pamela's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all.
