Nancy Jane Cole Phy

Nancy Jane Phy, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Deridder, Louisiana, at the age of 75. Born on December 1, 1949, in Las Vegas, to Jack and Rozella Cole in Las Vegas Nevada. Nancy’s journey through life was defined by her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. 

For many years, Nancy served as a dedicated worker at Wal-Mart, where her warm smile and readiness to help others made a positive impact on those around her. Beyond her professional endeavors, Nancy was deeply rooted in her community, serving as an Eastern Star and touching countless lives with her generous spirit. 

Nancy had a profound appreciation for the beauty of life. She cherished watching sunsets and found joy in nurturing her garden, where she created a serene sanctuary that reflected her vibrant personality. Above all, family was the cornerstone of her life; she poured love and support into every relationship, and her family remains as a testament to the values she instilled.

She is survived by her son Jason Shearer, Grandson Cody Shearer and wife Stephanie, and great-grandchildren Aliyah, Noah, Ava and Neveah Shearer.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

A public viewing will be held at Smyrna Baptist Church on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and community members to honor and celebrate Nancy’s life. Following the viewing, a memorial service will take place at the same location at 1:00 PM, where those whose lives she touched can gather in remembrance and reflection.

Nancy Jane Phy will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those she encountered. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she shared so freely.
