Myrtle Lee Jarrell Weeks

Myrtle Lee Jarrell Weeks, 84 years old, of DeRidder, LA, went to her heavenly home on May 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Myrtle Lee was born on March 2, 1941, to Robert “Bob” and Myrtle Marshall Jarrell in Port Arthur TX.

Myrtle Lee enjoyed being the secretary for the family business, Weeks Construction, Inc. She also found joy throughout her years with various hobbies such as ceramics, crafting, photography, cake decorating, and sewing. However, she had no greater passion than traveling.

Myrtle is survived by her children, James Weeks and wife, Cheryl, of DeRidder, LA, Sherrie Stephens and husband, Bobby, of DeRidder, LA, Kristy Weeks of DeRidder, LA, and Sheila Weeks of Calhoun, LA, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Lee Weeks, her parents, and sister, Judy Turner.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Jonathan Comeaux will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Beauregard Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service.

A remarkable mother, the heart of our family. Myrtle Lee Weeks dedicated her life to nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a pillar of support and always there. Her love and guidance shaped the lives of her children, and her legacy will live on in their lives.
