It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Megan Paige Cox Armstrong, age 36, who left us on August 1, 2025, in Jasper, Texas. Born on February 9, 1988, in Pineville, Louisiana, Megan was a devoted caregiver and a loving mother to her four children, who were truly the center of her world.
Megan was known for her warm, caring spirit and her infectious laughter. Those who knew her will remember her love for cleaning-she treated it as a cherished hobby! She had a delightful collection of roosters decorating her kitchen and found great joy in fishing, often preparing delicious meals from her catch. A proud owner of a beloved pair of boots, she wore them everywhere, adding her unique touch to every outfit.
Megan was also deeply committed to her faith. She spent time reading her Bible to her kids, teaching them about Jesus, and instilling strong values in their lives. Fiercely independent and with a headstrong spirit, she faced life's challenges with incredible strength, earning the admiration of all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved children, Railynn, Autumn, Aiden, and Easton; loving mother, Angel Swain of Newton, TX; father, James Cox and Gayla of Anacoco, LA; grandparents, J.L and Beryl Cox of Virginia, George Swain of Evans, LA; brother, Justus Cox and Katy of Newton, TX; sisters, Lachrisha Cox of Merryville, LA, McKenzie Bliss and George of Vidor, TX, Heaven Cox of Shreveport, LA, Layken Cox and Jonas Fee of Anacoco, LA; fur baby, Ariel, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at Lillie Pentecostal Church on August 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, preceded by a public viewing at 9:00 AM at the same location. She will be laid to rest at Plunkaway Cemetery following the services in Burr Ferry, Louisiana.
Megan's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will forever be remembered as a fighter, a caregiver, and a loving mother.
