Marie Sheffield, 81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.  Mrs. Sheffield's hobbies included reading, yardwork, gardening, cleaning house and shopping.  She retired to Converse, LA with her husband in 1995 and moved back to DeRidder in 2005.  She loved her 2 pets, Coco and Donkey.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tim Sheffield and fiancee' Connie Youmans of Lyons, GA; daughter, Terri Carlock and husband Todd of DeRidder, LA; brother, R.C. Johnson of Houston, TX; sister, Betty Jo Skinner of Anniston, AL; daughter-in-law, Regina Sheffield of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Kyle Carlock and Katelyn Carlock, both of DeRidder, Joshua Sheffied and wife Heather of Savannah, FA and Jake Sheffield of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Berkley and Channing Sheffield of Savannah, GA.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cosby Sheffield and parents, W.G. and Martha Ada Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 1:00pm at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.  Bro. Scott Hollis will officiate.
