Lloyd Ray Manning, 75years old, passed on September 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. L’Ray is the child of Lloyd and Yvonne Manning. He resided in Deridder, Louisiana,all his life. His warmth, humor, and ability to connect with others will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.

L’Ray was not just a devoted husband to his wife Murilene; he was the glue that held his family together, nurturing and supporting them through every step of life. A hardworking man, he dedicated many years of his life to serving as a lineman for the Beauregard Electric Company, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to ensuring his community was powered and connected. Beyond his professional life, L’Ray was an active cattleman, deeply passionate about his work on the ranch and the land that was so dear to him. His dedication to agriculture and love for nature reflected his steadfast spirit and strong values.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife of 40years Murilene Manning of DeRidder, LA., Brother: Ronnie Manning; Children: Ladonna Hicks; Step Children: Debra Johnson, Kathy Gill; Grandchildren Dusty Gill, Patrick Gill, Kim Escobedo , Abby Landry; Great Grandchildren: Lakyn West, Kenzi Brown, Trey Lanclos, Ethan & Emma Gill, Jet Gill, Harper Landry; Great Great Grandchildren: Harper & Tucker Brown.

L'Ray is preceded in death by his parents Loyd & Yvonne Manning , his siblings Dorthy Singleton, Darlene Jenkins, and sister-in-law Dianne Manning.

Honorary Pall Bearers: Don Farmer, Neal Harper, Tommy Harper, Doug Sonnier

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Pastor Glass will officiate the service. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00am until the start of the service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. 

In this time of sorrow, we remember L’Ray Manning’s unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
