Linda Jean Whitehead

Linda Jean Whitehead, 78years old from Merryville, LA, passed away on May 11, 2025. Born on April 17, 1947, in Jasper, Texas, to her parents Tony and Minnie Lee Williams. Linda spent her days nurturing a loving home, a hobby of canning, and most definitely creating memories with her family. Linda Jean is survived by her children: Laura Amore of DeRidder, LA., Micheal and Sarah Whitehead of Merryville, LA., Billie and Erwin Johnson of Surprise AZ., Eva Morris and Barry Pugh of Sulphur LA., Casey and Joani Whitehead of DeQuincy, LA., and George and Tiffany Whitehead of DeRidder, LA. 21 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents; Tony Williams and Minnie Pittman Williams, her husband; Hughie Whitehead, one child; William Whitehead, Granddaughter; Rachel Peterson, Daughter-in-law; Sandy Whitehead, and Brothers; Henry Chenyworth, Roy Cheyworth, and Tony “Butch” Williams,

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 15, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Fortenberry and Pastor Bart Coody will officiate. A visitation will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday May 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00PM, offering friends and family a moment to gather in remembrance. Visitation will continue Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 9:00AM until the start of the service. The burial will reside at Old Cypress Cemetery following the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be; Mathew Johnson, Erwin Johnson, Cole Collins, Taylor Peterson, Patrick Peterson, Sydney Whitehead, Aaron Whitehead, and Corey Trump.

Linda Jean Whitehead will be deeply missed, yet her memories and legacy will always be cherished forever.
