It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Dawn Thompson Kodrin, born on January 20, 1962, in Springhill, Louisiana. Leslie left us on December 7, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

Leslie was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into her family. She had a remarkable talent for cooking, preparing the best Southern meals just like her mother taught her. Her home was always spotless and inviting, reflecting her passion for caring for her family. She loved getting her hair and nails done and cherished her girl trips with the Bunco group. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and she had a knack for making every outing a fun adventure.

Leslie was known for her friendly spirit, never having met a stranger. Her favorite moments were the spontaneous road trips she took with her husband, Jack. Together, they created countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew them.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Kodrin of DeRidder, LA; her father, Cecile Thompson of Leesville, LA; her sons, Chad Blankenbaker and Sarah of Rosepine, LA, Cody Blankenbaker and Brittany of DeRidder, LA, Chase Blankenbaker and Kelsey of Anacoco, LA, Jerrad Kodrin and Melissa of Carriere, MS; her daughter, Tiffinie Hill and Andrew of Carriere, MS; her sister, Cecile Dunn of Natchitoches, LA; brother, Myron Thompson of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Hudson Blankenbaker, Sadie Blankenbaker, Ellyana Smith, Madison Smith, Jase Blankenbaker, Marlea Blankenbaker, Ethan Henley, Aiden Hill, Kylar Kodrin and Kristian Kodrin and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mitzi Thompson; brother-in-law, Reynolds Ray Dunn; uncle, W.F. Zimmerman.

A public viewing will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where friends and family can come to pay their respects. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Brother Tommy Kiker will officiate the service and her niece, Farah Thompson Miller will speak. Pallbearers will be Chad Blankenbaker, Chase Blankenbaker, Cody Blankenbaker, Neil Thompson, Ethan Henley, Aiden Hill.

Leslie's light will continue to shine in the lives of those she loved. She will be missed dearly and remembered fondly.
