Lemuel Strahan, 92, of Many, Louisiana passed from this life on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Silsbee, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Gill will officiate. Interment will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Mittie, Louisiana.
He is survived by his son, Richard Strahan of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Barbara Murphy of Lumberton, TX; twin sister, Genevie Simmons of Mittie, LA; and numerous grandchildren.
