Lacie LaShae Hines

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lacie LaShae Prater, born on February 6, 1985, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She left us too soon on July 19, 2026, in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Lacie was a bright spirit who had a big heart, loved hard, and was always there to lend a helping hand. She was known for her kindness and generosity, often cooking for friends and family and bringing people together around the dinner table. Her love for animals was evident in the care she showed, and her artistic talent shone through in her wonderful drawings that reflected her vivid imagination.

She is survived by her loving sister, Casie Hines; step father, Dale Keel; her fur baby, Tensil and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Lacie was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Keel and her father, Larry Gene Hines.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Christway Church in DeRidder, LA. Friends and family are invited to join us at 12:00 PM for a public visitation, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM. Lacie will be remembered fondly as a sweet soul who brightened the lives of those around her.

Lacie's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Lacie, you will be missed more than words can express, but the love you shared will continue to inspire us all.
