It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith Lynn Spikes, who left this world on March 29, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on October 2, 1964, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Keith lived most of his life in DeRidder, where he left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Keith was an electrician by trade, proudly working with Statewide Electric and Dobson Electric, where he brought his hard-headed determination to every job. He was genuinely passionate about his work and approached every project with enthusiasm.
Outside of work, Keith was a man of many interests. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors, whether that meant hunting, fishing, or camping. You could often find him in his yard, tending to his plants, or in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Known for his great sense of humor, Keith had a knack for making everyone laugh and enjoyed joking around. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Jackie Schmidt and Bert of DeRidder LA, Doug Spikes of Baton Rouge, Linda Grantham of Sulphur, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who were particularly dear to him.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Adas Spikes; brothers, Albert Allen Spikes and Gary "Bo" Spikes.
Funeral services for Keith will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. A public viewing will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of service. DJ Dilks will be the speaker at the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Bubba Wayne Maxie, John Dobson, Bert Schmidt, Ethan Norsworthy, Jeremy Hazlett, Michael Perkins, and DJ Dilks.
In honoring Keith's larger-than-life personality, let us remember him as the jokester, the hard worker, and the devoted family member he always was. He will be missed dearly.
