Kandy Lynn Shirley Stark

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kandy Lynn Shirley Stark, who left us on August 5, 2025. Born on December 7, 1972, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Kandy was a devoted homemaker and an incredible family woman who cherished every moment with her loved ones.

Kandy was a proud mother to her children. She also adored her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. Known for her nurturing spirit, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether it was shopping for them, diving into arts and crafts projects, or simply enjoying their company by the pool. She had a special knack for crocheting and gardening, filling her garden with vibrant roses and hibiscus in every color imaginable.

Kandy also had a relaxing side; she found peace in recharging with a good nap or casting a line while fishing. She embraced life with a warmth that touched everyone around her. And let's not forget her fur babies, Jasper, Penelope and Bailey, who were her loyal companions and aside from the grandbabies received most of her love and attention.

We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Kandy's life. A public viewing will take place at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Kandy's wishes for cremation will be honored. Brother Walter Edwards will officiate the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Shirley, Jason Shirley, Justin Shirley, Coy Shirley, Brent Shirley and Colton Boyce.

She leaves behind her loving husband of thirty-five years, Jimmy Stark of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Brittany Boyce and Justin of DeRidder, LA, Kelli Ducet and Bo of Buna, TX; son, Cody Stark and Rory of Ruston, LA; brothers, Tony Shirley of DeRidder, LA, Jason Shirley and Jennifer of Longville, LA, Justin Shirley and Brandi of Vidor, TX, Tommy "Coy" Shirley and Jessie of DeRidder, LA, Joshua Brent Shirley and Helen of DeRidder, LA; sister, Tina Franklin of Singer, LA; grandchildren, Colton, Payton, Brittney and Jay; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and all the lives she brightened during her time with us.

Kandy was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Shirley; mother, Irma Shirley and Greg King; brother, Lonnie Morgan; granddaughter, Rachel Boyce.

Kandy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, laughter, and the light she brought into all of our lives.
