It is with great sorrow that the family of Judith "Grammie" Reeves announce her passing on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Judith was born in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1954, to Richard and Josephine Allen. She was one of three children and was always the one being mischievous and getting her siblings into trouble. Judi always knew she wanted a big family and she did just that with having five beautiful children of her own and welcomed an additional three with her marriage to Donnie Reeves in 1989. She took great pleasure in raising all eight children and keeping the house kept while Donnie was out working day to day. In her free time though Judi did thoroughly enjoy being an active member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church, painting and had an immense love of music. It was well known she was a collector of Owls and Flamingos as her home was colorfully decorated in both. Her family only grew through the years to include 22 grandchildren and even more great grandchildren. Her home was always filled with many little feet running and laughing, family gathering to visit, and a full house with even fuller bellies during each holiday. Grammie was a treasured family staple whose absence will be greatly felt by all.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Josephine Allen, brother, Jim Allen, daughter, Vicky Clement, and stepson Garrett David Reeves.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Donnie Reeves, Sister, Sharon Crout and Marvin of South Caroline, children; Michelle Hood and Tony of Deridder, LA, Jason Maddox and Melody of Mountain View, AR, Angela Shepard and Kevin of Saginaw, TX, Jennifer Maddox and Gage of Mountain View, AR, Laura Cates and Gene of Rosepine, LA, Chad Reeves of LA, 22 grandchildren, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Dry Creek Baptist Church at 8237 LA-113, Dry Creek, LA Saturday February 21, 2026. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm with service following immediately after. The family is asking for donations for services and memorial in lieu of flowers.
