Johnathan Le'Ray Dorsey, 37 years old, of DeRidder, LA., passed away on September 5, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and most of friend. Born on August 25, 1988, in Deridder, Louisiana, to Johnny Colton and Alice Jackson. Johnathan lived his entire life in the community that embraced him with love.
Tootie was a man of faith; he loved the Lord and took comfort in his spirituality. This deep faith was a guiding light throughout his life and a source of strength in difficult times. He was known for his quiet demeanor and gentle spirit, preferring to express his affection through the meals he prepared, and the countless lives he touched with his warmth. Johnathan is survived by his loving mother, Alice Jackson of DeRidder, LA., one child Xavier Watson of DeRidder, LA., his siblings, Johnny Colton Jr and wife Velvet of Lake Charles, LA., Donavan Jackson and wife Lanesha of DeRidder, LA., Carl Jackson and fiancé Brianna of Lake Charles, LA., Ardian Dorsey of Homer, LA., and Vickie Prater, Nicoya Waits and husband Lamont. One Uncle, James Dorsey of Natchitoches, LA., Aunt Bev., God Mother, Paula Williams, Special cousin Keyanna Coleman, special friend Tajah Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his Father, Johnny Colton Sr., and his Godmother, Sandra Williams.

A Funeral Service will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM, honoring his life and the impact he made on those around him. Pastors Piper will be officiating the service. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 9:00AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow the service at Beauregard Cemetery. May his kindness he showed and the love he shared be remembered by many. As we bid farewell to Johnathan, let us remember this is not a goodbye it is a see you later, and may his soul rest in everlasting peace.
