John R. Whiddon, Sr. 69 of Merryville, LA passed from this life Sunday, December 20, 2009 in Merryville, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM, at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Junction Community. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Junction Community. Interment will be at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA. Officiating service will be Elder Gerald Reed.

John R. Whiddon, Sr. is survived by;  Wife Lillian Morrow Whiddon of Junction Community, LA. 2 Sons:  John R. Whiddon, Jr. and wife Joyce of Junction Community, LA and Roy Whiddon and wife Wanda of Evans, LA. 1 Daughter:  Melissa A. Blackmon and husband David of Bivens, LA. 3 Sisters:  Lucille Taylor of Center, TX, Lueen Foraker of Broaddus, TX and Annie Ruth Lambright of Alexandria, LA. 3 Grandsons:  Chasten Blackmon, Caleb Blackmon, and Carter Blackmon of Bivens, LA.

John R. Whiddon was preceded  in death by a son, Henry Whiddon.
