John Duanne Blair

John Duanne Blair, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1934, to Johnny and Mabel Blair. John lived a life filled with love, adventure, and joy, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

John proudly served in the United States Navy, embodying the spirit of dedication and courage. His love for fishing brought him tranquility and happiness, often spent near the water reflecting on life’s simple joys. Above all, John cherished the time he spent with his beloved family, especially with his devoted wife, Bette Blair, who was by his side throughout their journey together.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Bette Lott Blair, children; Dallas Blair (Rhonda) and Kalan Townsley (Barry), Five grandchildren; Jamie Blair, Scotty Blair (Kelli), Brittani Blair (Ti Wray), Zachary Harrison, and Ryan Harrison, Five Great-Grandchildren, and Three Great-Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Blair, and grandson, Christopher Blair.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the chapel of Calvary Baptist Church at 10:00am. Pastor Jim Myers will officiate the service, and burial will follow in Cannon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and continue on Thursday from 9:00am until 10:00am. Pallbearers will be Danny Lott, Robert Lott, Vernon Lott, Alan Lott, Tommy Gibbs, and Darrell Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lott and Billy Burr.

John's gentle soul, warm smile, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his love of family, humor, and storytelling.
