It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Palmer, who left us on August 1, 2025. Born on August 9, 1976, in Leesville, Louisiana, Jerry was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
Jerry's warm spirit and infectious laugh made him a cherished storyteller. Once he got going on the phone, you might find yourself talking for hours-you could never get him to admit he was wrong! He had a deep appreciation for his roots and his family heritage, which he loved to share with those around him. His family meant the world to him, and it was clear that they brought him immense joy. He held a special bond with his grandma, who loved him just as fiercely as he loved her.
He leaves behind his mother, Maxine Palmer Stone of DeRidder, LA; father, Albert Gerry Brazle and Ingrid of Beaumont, TX; grandmother, Doris Seastrunk of DeRidder, LA; siblings Felicia Sewing and Don of Excelsior Springs, MO, Todd Stone of DeRidder, LA, Jena Smith and James of Concordia, MO and Shmeika Stone of Spring, TX, Gerrelyn Brazle, Gerica Brazle and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert Brazle and Lucy Moore Brown and his grandfather, Harrison Palmer.
In honor of Jerry's life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. A public viewing will take place earlier that day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. After the service, Jerry will be cremated.
Though he may no longer be with us, Jerry's spirit and stories will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest easy, Jerry. We love you.
