Jean Cooley Watson, 84, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, JoAnn Watson of Merryville, LA, Elizabeth Bennett and Galen of Slagle, LA; grandchildren, Kristin Jones and Dustin of Slagle, LA, Jessica Smith of Anacoco, LA, Chelsea Thompson and Cole of Anacoco, LA, Bret Bennett and Julie of Rosepine, LA, Brannon Bennett of Pitkin, LA; great grandchildren, Luke, Landry, Gunnar and Hayven Thompson, Laramie Smith, J.P., Dakota, Kynlee, Brycyn and Rylee Bennett, Bentlee and Tinsleigh Breeden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delos Watson, sons, Guary and Steve Watson; daughter-in-law, Colleen Watson; great-grandson, Braydon Bennett; brother, Darwin Cooley; sisters, Delores Mortimer, Wanda Henry; parents, Falva and Lillie Cooley.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Jim Miers, Brother Mark Christian and Brother Michael Burgess will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cole Thompson, Dustin Jones, Allen Smith, Luke Thompson, J.P. Bennett, Dakota Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Laramie Smith, Landry Thompson, Gunnar Thompson, Brycyn Bennett, Bentlee Breeden . Burial will follow at Bivens Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
