James "Pud" Eaves

James "Pud" Eaves, 88, of Merit, TX, passed away on August 25, 2024, in Greenville, TX.

After high school he served his country in the Navy. He was a Police Juryman for Beauregard Parish until his retirement.

James is survived by his sons, David Eaves and Sherri of Roxton, TX, Steven Eaves and Barbara of Coweta, OK; daughters, Daphne Hamlin and Mike Rosa of Farmersville, TX, Geneva Diaz and Carlos of Miami, FL; brothers, Raymond Eaves of Merryville, LA, Dan Eaves and Brenda of Merryville, LA; sisters, Marilyn Warden of DeRidder, LA, Gloria Midkiff and Willis of Vidor, TX, Pauline Sanford and Stuart of Rosepine, LA; grandchildren, Sandy Barrett and Robert, Joey Hamlin and Marissa, Josh Ruggeberg, Emily Mardis and Tyler, Dalton Eaves and Jaci, Brandon Diaz and Liliana, Steven Eaves, Cameron Eaves and Elizabeth Eaves; fifteen great grandchildren; special friends, Don, Gary and Mark Douglas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his son, James Horace Eaves; father, James Eaves, mother, Minnie Eaves; brothers, John Eaves, George Eaves.

The graveside service for James "Pud" Eaves will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
