Jack Hammond, 80, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, July 20, 2015. Jack was born in Merryville, LA. He graduated from Merryville High School and studied at McNeese State University. He served in the U.S. Army (Korean War) and was also a welder/pipefitter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Scott and Brian Hammond; daughters, Diana Mathis and Lila Hardin; brothers, Lars Hammond and Charles Hammond; grandchildren, Tiffany, Sharlee, Emily Abigail, Sydney, Caydence, Bryce, Bralynn, Autumn, Nicholas, Jade, Kristin, Mathew, and Michael; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Ethel Hayes; son, Danny Hammond; brothers, Jerry, Billy and Robert Hammond; sisters, Marion Smith and Edith West.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
